Two cadet teams take aim in national shooting competition with remarkable precision
2286 (Coventry Arden) Squadron proudly took part in the Commonwealth Postal Shoot BSA Silver Trophy for the first time recently, entering two teams of four cadets in the highly respected national marksmanship competition.
This exciting debut saw our cadets showcase impressive skill and discipline on the range, with one of our top firers achieving just shy of a perfect score—a phenomenal achievement that highlights the strength and focus of our young markspeople.

The Commonwealth Postal Shoot is a prestigious event, challenging cadet forces across the UK in precision and consistency in their marksmanship. Representing the Squadron for the first time in this competition is a milestone moment for 2286 and is certain to be a popular event that we return to year after year.
We now await official results and are looking forward to receiving marksmanship badges in due course—eagerly anticipated by our team members!
WO Sturdy, Squadron Shooting Officer, said:
