2286 (Coventry Arden) Squadron is proud to celebrate a landmark moment in our cadet marksmanship journey—awarding our very first Gold Air Rifle Shooting Badges to our talented shooting teams!
Following a successful debut entry into the Commonwealth Postal Shoot BSA Silver Trophy, our cadets have demonstrated exceptional focus, consistency, and skill on the range. These Gold Badges represent one of the highest recognitions in cadet air rifle shooting, and mark a significant milestone for our Squadron.
Co-ordinating and managing the team, WO Daniel Sturdy, the Deputy Wing Shooting Officer for Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing and the Squadron Warrant Officer for 2286, said:
“To see our cadets achieve this standard, especially in our first year entering the competition, is incredibly rewarding. They’ve shown real dedication and control on the range, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished.”

This achievement reflects not just the precision and dedication of the cadets themselves, but also the commitment of the staff and instructors supporting them. It sets a strong foundation for future success—there’s no doubt there will be many more badges to come.
